This weekend, NASCAR will be racing at EchoPark Speedway in Atlanta with 40 Cup cars set to compete in what promises to be an exciting event at the Georgia track. The Cup Series has seen 40 entries only twice this year before Atlanta, with those occasions being crown jewel events. Included in those were the Daytona 500 where 41 cars started due to Helio Castroneves taking the Open Exemption Provisional and the Coca Cola 600 where Ross Chastain made history by winning from 40th place. Atlanta will have four open entries alongside the 36 full-time chartered teams, with drivers like Corey LaJoie and rising star Connor Zilisch joining the field. Additionally, the NASCAR Xfinity Series will be accompanying the Cup Series in Atlanta, while the Truck Series will be racing at Lime Rock Park for the first time.
